Psalm 62 TLV
1 For the music director, on Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
2 My soul, wait in stillness, only for God—
from Him comes my salvation.
3 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress—I will never be moved.
4How long will all of you assault a man,
to crush him, like a leaning wall,
a fence to be torn down?
5They only plot to topple him from his rank.
Delighting in falsehood, they bless with their mouth,
but inwardly they curse. Selah
6My soul, wait in stillness, only for God—
for from Him comes my expectation.
7He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my strong tower—I will not be moved.
8On God, my salvation and my glory is the rock of my strength.
My refuge is in God.
9Trust in Him at all times, you people.
Pour out your heart in His presence.
God is our refuge. Selah
10Sons of Adam are a vapor,
sons of man are an illusion.
In balanced scales they go up—
altogether they are less than a breath.
11Do not trust in extortion,
and do not put vain hope in plunder.
Though these things increase riches,
do not set your heart on them.
12Once God has spoken,
twice I have heard this:
might belongs to God.
13Also Yours, O Lord, is loving kindness.
For You reward a man for his work.
Luke 17: 1-10 TLV
1 Then Yeshua said to His disciples, “Stumbling blocks are bound to come, but woe to the one by whom they come! 2 It would be better for him to have a millstone put around his neck and to be hurled into the sea, than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.3 “Keep yourselves alert! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.4 Even if he sins against you seven times a day, and seven times returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”5 Then the emissaries said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”6Then the Lord said, “If you have faith like a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.7 But if you have a slave who is plowing or tending sheep, who among you will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come right in, and recline at table’? 8 But won’t he instead say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat! Dress yourself and wait on me while I eat and drink; and afterward, you may eat and drink’?9He doesn’t thank the slave because he did what he was commanded, does he?10 So you too, when you’ve done everything you are commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves. We have done only what we were supposed to do.’”
This week, we should seek the Lord in stillness and in truth.
Pray that we may be delight in truth. Pray that we learn to walk in his presence and expect to learn.
Pray that our faith would be increased as we seek him.
Pray that we would be rebuked when necessary as the Lord rebukes those that he loves.
The pain is necessary for growth and maturity. But take heart, Adonai rewards a man for his work.
