Do you have faith?
What does your faith look like?
Is it passive and just a feeling of believing in YHVH?
What do you DO with your faith?
What is the difference between faith and faithfulness?
Well I found some interesting things.
From Jeff A Benner:
Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail, but the righteous shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4 - ASV)
What does it mean to have "faith" from an Hebraic perspective? In our western minds faith is a mental exercise in knowing that someone or something exists or will act. For instance, if we say "I have faith in God" we are saying "I know that God exists and that he will do what he says he will do".
The Hebrew word for faith is אמונה (emunah - Strong's #530) and is an action oriented word meaning "support". This is important because the Western concept of faith places the action on the one you have faith in, such as "faith in God". But, the Hebrew word אמונה places the action on the one who "supports God". It is not a knowing that God will act, but rather I will do what I can to support God. This idea of support for the word emunah can be seen in Exodus 17:12.
But Moses' hands grew weary; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat upon it, and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; so his hands were steady (emunah)until the going down of the sun.
It is the support/emunah of Aaron and Hur that held of Moses' arms, not the support/emunah of Moses. When we say "I have faith in God", we should be thinking "I will do what I can to support God".
What are you doing to live faithfully?
God has ALWAYS been faithful to you. He has never given up or turned his back on you.
Can you say the same about your part of your relationship?
James 2 14:26
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works? Can such faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in shalom, keep warm and well fed,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is that? 17 So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead by itself. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder! 20 But do you want to know, you empty person, that faith without works is dead? 21 Wasn’t Abraham our father proved righteous by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22 You see that faith worked together with his works, and by the works his faith was made complete. 23 The Scripture was fulfilled that says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness”[d]—and he was called God’s friend. [e] 24 You see that a man is proved righteous by works and not by faith alone. 25 And likewise, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also proved righteous by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out another way? [f] 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
There are many many verses about faith. Go read some and have the understanding that it is not God's faithfulness being called into question. He is steadfast and faithful to those who call upon his name.
The unfaithful one in the equation is us.
Spending our time and resources on things that "fulfill" us but grieve YHVH.
Are you truly in Love with him? If so, why live so unfaithfully? Why Give in to the temptations that hurt the one who we claim to love?
Is that what marriage is supposed to look like?
Why is the Covenant with YHVH less important the our image of Marriage? It should be the other way around.
John 14:15
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." - Jesus
The time is now to move forward in support of where God is calling you.
Time to step up into your calling, accept the new wine skins and be faithful to God.
Repent and start being faithful.
Today, pray for wisdom (which the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom).
Wisdom on where you are to serve.
Wisdom on who to be serving in your life.
Then pray for those people.
Start taking action as a Child of God and begin to be faithful to YAH.
No more inaction (unless YHVH Tells you to be inactive).
